I love this story. It is a wonderful story which is teaching people to be honest. So they can recieve a good result.
The honesty is the most important, no matter what is the problem or your necesities. There is not other way to make you feel better that being honest with yourself.
But, the question is why is there a ring in every loaf or bread? There must be good reason for this. However, I cannot imagine the beggar still having his teeth after repeatedly breaking his mollars though.
To me, the butler knows that the beggar is related to the house. The beggar was indeed a forgetful owner at the house in the past. He lost everything he owned because he was greedy and dishonest. Now, if he return the diamond ring after breaking all his tooth, then the butler will help him to get back his home.
